QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • What is Tencel Fibre and where does it come from?

    What a great question.

Tencel fibre, otherwise known as Lyocell, is a form of Rayon which consists of cellulose fibre made by dissolving bleached wood pulp (usually a hardwood like oak or birch) using a dry jet-wet spinning system.  It is a non-animal fibre.   Tencel is used in many everyday fabrics such as denim, chino and towels.  Tencel can be blended with a variety of other fibres such as silk, cotton, rayon, polyester, lined, nylon and wool.
